Use
In this IMG activity, you assign the numbering scheme of the number sets, which you created in the IMG activity Define Numbering Scheme and Structure of Number Sets. You must assign the numbering scheme to a number set in order for the settings you made to take effect in the application.
Requirements
Standard settings
Activities
- Enter the new number set numbering scheme name.
- Enter the name of your reference numbering scheme. Note that you can only have exactly one reference structure for each number set. For more information, see the activity Number Set Structure in the IMG activity Define Numbering Scheme and Structure of Number Set.
- Select whether you want SAP GTS to transfer all the numbers in the set you are using or not by either selecting Transfer Numbers in Set or by leaving the Data Transfer field blank so that none of the numbers are transferred.
- Once you have assigned the relevant numbering scheme or schemes to your number set numbering scheme, you can use the number set function in the SAP Customs Management and SAP Compliance Management modules. For more information on how to use the number sets for product classification, see SAP Note 881508.
Example
Enter SET1, which is the name of the number set numbering scheme you just defined.
Enter the name of the existing U.S. commodity code numbering scheme on which you based the structure of your new number set numbering scheme. You can check the name of it in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) by choosing General Settings -> Numbering Schemes -> Define Numbering Scheme for Commodity Codes. You can also use the input help for the field Numbering Scheme. For example, HTS-US.
Select Transfer Numbers in Set, as this is your reference numbering scheme and you require all the numbers to be transferred.
You can add more numbering schemes for other customs code numbers now to your number set numbering scheme.
