Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the BOP types that you want to use in restitution. The settings you define here make it possible to differentiate between the data that users maintain for the basic bills of product at the producing company and are valid throughout the company and the data that users maintain for individual BOPs that, for example, are only valid for certain plants.
Since these settings affect BOP maintenance in the application, you must define them.
You enter BOPs for restitution in the application.
Requirements
You have completed the Customizing activity Define Messages for Bills of Product (Restitution).
Standard settings
The delivery Customizing already contains BOP categories.
Activities
To define additional BOP categories, carry out the following activities:
- Use the input help to enter a legal regulation and then a new BOP category.
- If you want to create a separate type for variants of basic BOPs for specific plants, set the Alternative Bill of Product indicator.
- Select the value from the BOP Origin dropdown box to indicate whether the BOP originated from your organization or from a third party.
- Use the input help to select a number range for the BOP numbers.
- Select a value from the Share Type dropdown list to indicate whether you want to maintain the basic products in the BOP as percentage shares of the end product or as quantitative shares in the unit of measurement of the end product.
- If you only want to maintain BOPs of official manufacturing companies in this category, set the Manufacturer Declaration indicator.
- If you want the system to display the restitution code, set the Display Code Number indicator.
- Use the input help to select the suitable numbering scheme for the restitution codes that you want to integrate with this BOP category.
- Choose a value from the Text Type Tariff dropdown list to indicate the type of text that you want to maintain for your bills of product, for example, commercial description or concatenated text.
- You can enter additional texts for internal information purposes in the last three fields.
