Use
In this Customizing activity, you define a determination procedure that the system can use to automatically determine the export license types that are required for certain business transactions. Examples of export license types include a general export license or a single export license for standard import and export transactions. The determination procedure you define here controls how the system determines the export license types that are relevant for a specific legal regulation.
Define determination procedures for the export license types and assign them to the individual determination strategies. You can assign determination procedures to the following tables:
- Country level
- Country group level
- Control grouping level
- Control class level
- Legal regulation level
- Country group/control grouping level
- Country group/control class level
- Country/control grouping level
- Country/control class level
In export control, the "Country" refers to the country of destination.
The country group is defined in agreement with this country.
The control grouping and control class attributes are derived from the product master data record in the customs document item for the product.
Requirements
Standard settings
The delivery Customizing already contains determination procedures for export licenses.
Activities
Enter a name and a description for the determination procedure.
Then assign a determination strategy to the determination procedure. Enter sequential numbers, starting with 10, 20, and so on, and then choose which level you want the system to determine the export license type under Determination Strategy, for example At Country/Control Group Level.
The system then searches for a suitable export license type based on the sequence and the conditions you have defined for a specific determination procedure.
Example
The following determination strategy is available in the standard determination procedure for transit, CTRY1: Determination of License Types: Country Level: Maximum:
Sequence Number Determination Strategy
10 Country/control class level
20 Country/control grouping level
30 Country level
40 Legal regulation level
The system first searches for a suitable export license type at the country/control class level. If the system does not find a suitable export license type here, it continues the search at the country/control grouping level. The system continues this process for all other levels until a suitable export license type is found. If the search fails, a corresponding message is output.
