Use
In this Customizing activity, you define export license types and their characteristics.
Requirements
- You have performed the following Customizing activities:
- You have configured the following settings for electronic communication for export licenses:
- Define Technical Medium for Messages (PFF Actions) of Licenses
- Define Condition/Output Parameter for Communication of Licenses
- Define User Group and e-Mail Sender
- You have also implemented the Business Add-Ins for sending and receiving export licenses and confirmed the integration of the communication platform.
For more information about electronic communications for export licenses, see the Configuration Guide for Restitution.
Standard settings
Activities
- When you define an export license type, you can also select which objects the system checks when it determines the export license types. You have the following options:
- Foreign trade organization
- Legal unit
- Business partner
- Partner function
- Product number
- Common Agricultural Policy number
- Document number from feeder system
- Partner group functions
- Country of destination/departure
- Country group
- You can define for each check object how many attributes of that object can be used for an export license in the application. You have the following options:
- No possible attributes (object is not available for this export license type)
- Exactly one possible attribute
- Unlimited number of possible attributes
- You can select one of the following depreciation options:
- Value update (including Exceeded (in %) and Shortfall (in %))
- Quantity update (including Exceeded (in %) and Shortfall (in %)) based on an item quantity, gross weight, or net weight
- If you set the Several Licenses indicator, the system can select several export licenses to cover the values/quantities that are to be depreciated in the case of a value and/or quantity update. Example: Assume an item quantity is 1000 kg. The system has found two suitable export licenses: export license A with an open quantity of 400 kg and export license B with an open quantity of 800 kg. The system would assign both export licenses in this case: export license A would have no remaining open value and export license B would have an open value of 200 kg.
For more information about the indicators that are relevant for restitution, see the field help.
- If you want to maintain texts in the export license, you must assign a text determination procedure to the export license type under Text Determination Procedure. You can also assign one of the CAP number texts that are maintained in the product master for restitution, such as concatenated text.
- If the government authorities responsible for the export license type use a different name than the one you chose, you can define this name as the external identification.
- You can configure settings for receiving export licenses in electronic communications. This involves configuring the communication parameters for received messages. If you want to use electronic communications, you will have to configure a variety of other settings in Customizing, configure Business Add-Ins, and use custom programs for integration with the communication platform.
- For each export license type, you have to maintain a sequence for the statuses that are already defined for the legal regulation. You enter the statuses in this sequence (for example, status B follows status A). You can also indicate for each status whether the quantities, values, and validity of the status are hidden, optional, or required entries.
- Now select the export license type you just created from the table and assign the statuses you created in the Customizing activity Control Settings for Restitution in the appropriate sequence.
