Use
In this IMG activity, you create the document types that you need as advance documents for customs declarations before goods receipt. The advance documents are relevant for replicating inbound deliveries, and provide the data for creating a customs declaration as soon as goods arrive at the border. With this approach, the goods are placed into customs status directly at the border.
Requirements
You have configured the process of point-of-entry customs clearance based on inbound deliveries in the control settings for document transfer in the feeder system.
You have also carried out the following IMG activities in SAP Global Trade Services:
The standard settings for this activity already contain a document type definition. Because one document type is sufficient for processes with advance documents, check whether the standard settings meet your requirements.
Activities
Specify a document name and a short document description.
Choose the relevant number range for advance documents.
Enter the Partner Group and Item Category parameters for process control.
