Use
In this Customizing activity, you group organizational units, such as plants or plant groups, into an administrative unit for preference processing. You can assign organizational units independently of their hierarchy within the company. The system can make a statement about a good's preference eligibility, for example, for each administrative unit. You also define the currency for each administrative unit that the system uses, for example, as the target currency for translating values in vendor-based long-term vendor declarations.
Note: You can only group organizational units, such as plants or plant groups, in an administrative unit if that unit is assigned to just one group of logical systems. This ensures, for example, that the material or partner numbers of all the systems are unique. The statement about a good's preference eligibility is based on this material data and partner data and they must therefore be unique.

Specify an administrative unit.
Assign the organizational units of your choice (for example, plants or plant groups) to the administrative unit.
Example
For vendor 1, only one vendor declaration is requested for material 1 despite the following constellation, because the two plants and the plant group are assigned to one administrative unit.
