Use

In this IMG activity, you define the action profiles and actions that you use to control the dispatch of messages and document printout for licenses. "License" is the name of a technical object that models the following business objects:

  • Import/export licenses in SAP Compliance Management
  • Authorizations and securities in SAP Customs Management
  • Letters of credit in SAP Risk Management - Letter of Credit Processing
  • Export licenses and securities in SAP Risk Management - Restitution

Action profiles and action definitions let you transfer the relevant data from licenses to the Post Processing Framework, to send them electronically or print them in a form. The processing type defines which type of further processing you want to configure.

  • You have to choose processing type method call to implement electronic communication with government authorities, banks, SAP systems, or other communications platforms. SAP GTS provides the methods for outbound processing. However, you have to convert the provided license data in your own programs, call connected converter systems, and implement the data dispatch - all dependent on the desired type of electronic communication. Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPSLL/ECMC_OUT for sending licenses is provided to do so.
  • To create print forms with the license data, you first have to define the form. You can choose between Smart Forms and PDF forms. Dependent on which type of form you choose, you can then select processing type Smart Forms Printout or External Communication. You can save the form information and assign the defined form in the details for the document.

In a separate IMG activity, you then Define Condition/Output Parameter for Communication of Licenses.

Requirements

You have defined the forms you want to print out as Smart Forms or PDF forms.

You have also configured the further processing of the license data and the conversion to the appropriate formats, for example, in a converter system.

Standard settings

The standard system contains action profiles for the following objects in the Licenses application.

  • Authorizations

    The action profile is relevant for authorizations in SAP Customs Management.

  • Securities

    The action profile is relevant both for securities in the transit procedure and customs processing of SAP Customs Management and for securities in SAP Risk Management - Restitution.

  • Licenses

    The action profile is valid both for import/export licenses in SAP Compliance Management and for export licenses in SAP Risk Management - Restitution.

  • Letters of credit

    The action profile is relevant for letters of credit in SAP Risk Management - Letter of Credit Processing.

Activities

  • Configure the action profiles of the licenses in the action definition to define whether you want to send the messages as IDocs. To do so, configure the message call in the processing type and assign method /SAPSLL/PPF_LCLIC_OUTBOUND for the dispatch of licenses. Call the necessary programs for conversion and dispatch of the data in your BAdI implementation of BAdI definition
    /SAPSLL/ECMC_OUT.
  • If you want to print a document for a license object, you can configure an action definition to print the document and add a custom form in the processing type.

To do so, enter transaction code /SAPSLL/MENU_LEGAL and choose SAP GTS Basis -> System Monitoring -> Check PPF -> Check PPF Actions for Inconsistencies.
