Use
In this IMG activity, you assign the defined control profiles for logging to the general process steps in the application. This allows you to specify whether the system stores logs in the database on a long-term basis and the scope of these logs. You can specifically determine that the system stores as many log entries as necessary and as few log entries as possible in the database to reduce the system operating costs.
The general objects to which you can assign the control profiles for logging include business partners, customs products, BOMs and processes of logistics integration.
You can assign the control profiles for logging to the special objects in the different services in the following IMG activities:
- Assign Control Profile for Logging for general objects such as customs products and business partners
- Control Settings for 'Customs Processing' Service
- Define Document Types for document transfer and checking in SAP Compliance Management
- Define Document Types for SAP Customs Management

Standard settings
The standard system contains the following control profile and logging object assignments:
Logging Object Subobject Control Profile for Logging

Activities
Choose the object and subobject to which you want to assign the control profile for logging.
Choose the control profile. The system applies all the settings to the logs for the specified object category that you entered for the assigned control profile in the IMG activity Define Control Profile for Logging .
