Use
In this IMG activity, you define a unit of measure system and assign the units of measure to it. The IMG activities for defining the individual numbering schemes require you to assign a unit of measure system. The system uses the units of measure from the assigned UoM system to validate manually entered units of measure in the application and when uploading tariff numbers from a data provider (to ensure that the assigned units of measure agree with the UoM system).
You can assign a UoM system to several numbering schemes.

Activities
Enter a unit of measure system and a description.
Assign the units of measure that you want to use to this UoM system, for later assignment to one or more numbering schemes.
You may have to define assignments between internal and external units of measure, depending on whether or not your products use internal units of measure.
Example
If your company produces or sells only products that are managed in pieces and liters, you have to assign the internal units of measure ST and L to the corresponding external unit of measure that you expect from a data user.
