Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the item categories for the different application areas. The system differentiates between the item categories you define for replicated documents and the item categories for Customs Management documents. The replicated documents correspond to the customs documents in the system. The item categories for the documents in Customs Management are valid for the following application areas:
- Presentation
- Customs declaration for imports and exports
- Advance notice
You must define all item categories that you want to transfer from the feeder system document. The item category controls the text determination procedure. The system also uses the combination of item category and document type to choose the relevant application area.
You can also configure the transfer to SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse for individual document types. If you want to use these document types for subsequent analysis, set the Transfer to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Active flag. To transfer the documents, you must activate all of the following objects:
- Document type
- Item category
- Foreign trade organizational unit
To do so, set the appropriate flags in Customizing activities Control Settings at FTO Level for SAP NW Business Intelligence (BI) and Define Document Types for Application Areas.
Requirements
Standard settings
The delivery Customizing already contains item categories.
Activities
Enter a name and a description for the document item.
We recommend referring to the document type in the feeder system in the description for items from replicated documents.
Assign the text determination procedure, if necessary.
