Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the document types for the various application areas. You can define the specific parameters for each document type in the control data for the respective legal regulation. This includes, for example, the settings for customs declarations in the following areas:
- Number ranges
- Action profiles
- Partner grouping
- Log control
- Text determination procedures
You can also configure the transfer to SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse for individual document types. If you want to use these document types for subsequent analysis, set the Transfer to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Active flag. To transfer the documents, you must activate all of the following objects:
- Document type
- Item category
- Foreign trade organizational unit
To do so, set the appropriate flags in Customizing activities Control at FTO Level for SAP NW Business Intelligence (BI) and Define Item Categories for Application Areas.
Requirements
You have already performed the following Customizing activities:
- Define Number Ranges for Documents
- Define Groups of Partner Functions
- Define Text Determination Procedures for Customs Shipments and Customs Declarations
Standard settings
The default settings already contain document types for the application areas.
Activities
Create a document type and a description.
In addition, enter the following details for the document type:
- Process (import or export)
- Number range number (number ranges for the document type)
- Service log (whether you want a log for analyzing and correcting errors)
If you want to control processes in Customs Management solely by the document type, enter the following parameters for controlling access:
- Partner grouping
Note that you can only assign one partner grouping for each document type.
- Action profile
- Log control
- Text determination procedure (for the document type)
If you want to control the processes in Customs Management based on the combination of document type and legal regulation, also define the details in the control data for each legal regulation in an application area.
