Use

In this Customizing activity, you define the merge rules for processing trade in China.

The rule determines which criteria is used to combine finished products and components. A merge rule combines finished products and components in such a way as to enable Chinese customs to track which materials the registered and combined finished products and components are made of.

This results in a merge list, which is transmitted to Chinese customs. You need to define at least one merge rule for each of the following authorization types:

  • Business scope account
  • E-manual

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries to create a merge rule.
  2. Enter a name and description and save your entries.
  3. Select the merge rule and choose Merge Criteria.
  4. Define the merge rule by selecting the relevant merge criteria with input help.
  5. Save your entries.

Business scope account

Merge rule 1: Business Scope Account

Products and components are merged whenever the following criteria is identical:

  • Product Number
  • Chinese Commercial Name

Merge rule 2: Business Scope Account

Products and components are merged whenever the following criteria is identical:

  • Price Range
  • Product Number

E-manual

Merge rule 3: E-Manual

Products and components are merged whenever the following criteria is identical:

  • HS Code
  • Declared Unit of Measure
  • Currency
