Use
In this IMG activity, you define which preference document the system proposes when you create a customs import declaration, depending on the preference agreement. The system records the corresponding preference document in the Documents tab page, at item level in the customs import declaration. The system can determine the valid preference agreement for an import transaction thanks to the link between the Preference Processing service in SAP Risk Management and the Customs Processing service in SAP Customs Management. Based on this agreement, the system checks the document data of the customs import declaration to find out whether a valid preference document already exists for the vendor's product. If the system finds a preference document, it can use the preferential customs duty rate in customs duty calculation, for example.
Requirements
You have configured the settings for the preference agreement in the Preference Processing service, as well as those for the legal regulation for customs processing.
You have entered the desired preference documents that you want to use for the proposal in the customs import declaration in the customs code list for documents and papers.
Standard settings
Activities
Specify the preference agreement.
Define the country of origin for which the system will determine the preference document as soon as you enter that country of origin in the customs declaration.
Define the legal regulation for customs import processing for which you want to use the preference document proposal.
Define the preference document that the system will propose in import processing.
