Use
In this IMG activity, you assign the customs status of a product to a process that you have already defined in SAP Customs Management for each legal regulation. In doing so, you define the type of declaration for this process.
You need the type of declaration and the customs status of a product to communicate with the customs authorities when you declare goods. The system determines this data based on the legal regulation and the process.
The application enables you to preassign a default value to this field automatically.
Once you complete this activity, you have to enter the process template for each legal regulation in the activity Control Settings for "Customs Processing" Service.
Requirements
You have already entered the values for customs code list DCSTA (Customs Status) in the activity Maintain Customs Code Lists for Legal Regulation.

In Europe, entries in this activity correspond to field 1 (declaration), subfields 1 and 3 of the single administrative document. Depending on the country and the process, the following entries are possible in these fields for the purpose of the declaration in the single administrative document:
- CO: Community goods
- EU: Goods traffic with EFTA countries
- EX: Export to third countries
- IM: Import of non-community goods
- T- transit declaration: T- goods (mixed T1, T2)
- T1 transit declaration: T1 goods (external transit procedure)
- T2 transit declaration: T2 goods (internal transit procedure)
- T2F transit declaration: T2F goods (internal transit procedure)
