Use
In this IMG activity you specify procedures and rules for automatically filling in date fields at application header level, for example, on the Transport and Logistics Costs tab pages. The target fields are filled automatically according to rules you define in this IMG activity. If you assign the default rules a sequence number, the system executes the rules in the order of the sequence numbers. Each rule corresponds to a combination of source and target field. If you assign several rules to a procedure, you can also have the system propose several date fields in succession from a source field by using a target field in the subsequent rule as the source field.
Depending on the date specified in a source field or the system date, the current date, for example, the system can copy the same date to the target field. You can also determine date specifications in relation to the entry in the source field, thus defining a lead time.
The automatic default data can be called manually in the application using a function button, or automatically when a document is created. The procedure transition also counts as creating a document, for example, exiting the transit procedure or the transfer to free circulation.
Note: If you have already filled target fields manually in the application, these entries are not overwritten by the automatic default data. The contents of the target fields as entered by the automatic default data can be overwitten manually at any time.
Requirements

Activities
Define a procedure and enter a description for it.
Define the combination of source field and target field in the rules, and specify a lead time if required.
Assign the rules a sequence number to determine the order in which you want the fields to be filled.
Activate the default data rule.
Example
If you define the first day of the week (Monday) for the source field, the Monday from the week of the current date becomes the reference date for the target field. You can then define the date specification in the target field in relation to the reference date (for example, reference date plus x days or minus x days).
Current date 06/22/2004
Source field first day of week based on current date 06/21/2004
Target field logon date 06/25/2004
Relation source date plus four days
