Use
In this IMG activity, you define the types of authorizations that you want to use for simplified procedures in the "Customs Processing" service.
You can configure settings for receiving authorizations in electronic communications. This involves configuring the communication parameters for received messages. If you want to use electronic communication, you will have to configure a variety of other settings in Customizing, configure Business Add-Ins, and use custom programs for integration with the communication platform.
Requirements
- You have completed the following IMG activities:
- You have configured the following settings for electronic communication for authorizations:
- Define Technical Medium for Messages (PFF Actions) of Licenses
- Define Condition/Output Parameter for Communication of Licenses
- Define user group and e-mail sender
- You have also implemented the Business Add-Ins for sending and receiving authorizations and confirmed the integration of the communication platform.

Standard settings
If you do not perform this activity, the authorization types VV (Simplified Customs Declaration Procedure) and the following statuses will be adopted as the standard configuration for the ATLAS (ATLAS Customs Processing System - Germany) legal regulation:
Statuses:
- 0001 (Authorization Created)
- 0002 (Authorization Active)
- 0003 (Authorization Expired)
Activities
Specify the legal regulation for which you want to define the authorizations.
Enter all the relevant data for the authorizations. You have to enter data for the following items:
- Authorization type
- Transaction (import or export)
- Text determination procedure for authorizations
- Maintainable attributes
Which attributes should be ready for input when an authorization type is created:
- Customs office
- Foreign trade organizational unit
- Legal unit
- Commodity code
- In the communication area, you define the parameters that the system will use to send e-mail notifications to a user group as soon as an authorization from the authorities is received electronically in the system. This includes:
- Action profile for authorizations
- User group as recipient
- Sender for e-mail generated by the system
Enter the relevant statuses for authorizations in the correct sequence.
