Use

In this IMG activity, you define the basic conditions for authorizations, independently of the relevant legal regulation, that you need for controlling 'Customs Processing' services. Assigning the process template that you want to use for the individual legal regulations in customs processing is part of this. You also define the possible status of the authorizations and the corresponding time zones here.

Requirements

Standard settings

The default settings for this activity contain pre-defined legal regulation settings for ACE (US Automated Customs Environment) and CLAR (Customs Legislation Amendment and Repeal), and the following pre-defined settings for ATLAS (ATLAS - the German customs processing system):

  • Authorized status
    • 0001 (Authorization created)
    • 0002 (Authorization active)
    • 0003 (Authorization expired)

  • Assign time zone to date type
    • VALFRO (Start of validity period) - CET (Central Europe)
    • VALTO (End of validity period) - CET (Central Europe)

Activities

  • Assign the process template to a legal regulation.
  • Then define the possible status of the authorizations.
  • Assign the time zone to a date type.
  • You can also simplify the upload of customs records by specifying a reference to a legal regulation. If you do so, you only have to upload customs duty rates that are valid in several countries once, as long as you use the legal regulation as a reference to control the Customs Processing service.
