Use
When you are transferring documents from the feeder system to the
SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) system, the system links the partner functions in the feeder system with corresponding partner functions in SAP GTS. In this IMG activity, you define how these partner functions are to be assigned.
If you do not perform this activity, the documents that you create in the feeder system will be blocked from further processing. In this case, SAP GTS cannot assign the partner functions that are transmitted from the feeder system.
If there is only one feeder system or there are different partner functions in multiple feeder systems, SAP recommends that you assign the partner functions at feeder system level.

Activities
Automatically Transfer Partner Function
- SAP recommends that you use this function for the initial transfer of partner functions from the feeder system to SAP GTS. By doing so, you will ensure that all the data is transferred.
- If you want to test the automatic transfer function, you can transfer the partner functions in simulation mode first.
- Enter the feeder system and the partner function from the feeder system that you want to transfer.
- Assign the document partner functions in SAP GTS to the partner function from the feeder system.
- If you set the 'Overwrite Existing Records' indicator, you can transfer all the partner functions from the feeder system again, and the system deletes the existing records in SAP GTS.
- Check the transfer results and ensure that these match your entries. Do this using the manual function for assigning partner functions.
Manually Assign Partner Function
- SAP recommends that you use this function to check that the automatic transfer has been performed correctly. In addition, you can use this function to manually assign new functions from the feeder system to partner functions in SAP GTS.
If you want to subject the alternative delivery addresses in your purchasing documents to the sanctioned party list screening, you can copy them as separate partner functions at item level to the corresponding customs document. In this case, you have to enter "DA" in the "Feeder System Partner Role" field and assign this function to an SAP GTS partner function. The delivery Customizing contains the "PODLV" function for this purpose.
If you want to subject FI payment receipts and outgoing payments to the SPL screening or embargo check, you have to assign the following partner functions from the feeder system to SAP GTS partner functions:
- FIKRE (vendor)
- FIDEB (customer)
- FIREG (payer)
- FIPAY (payee)
- FIPAB (partner bank)
