Use
In this IMG activity you assign the item category at feeder system level. When you are transferring item categories in documents from the feeder system to the SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) system, the system links the item categories from the feeder system with a corresponding item category in SAP GTS .
If there is only one feeder system or there are different document structures in a number of different feeder systems, SAP recommends that you assign the item categories at feeder system level.
Requirements
When you are entering item categories, the system does not check whether the entered categories actually exist in the system. SAP therefore recommends that you check the item categories entered in the appropriate table in the feeder system.
Standard settings
The standard setting for the application level is the billing document, as only this document is of significance to SAP Customs Management .
Activities
Determine the feeder system and the document item category from the feeder system.
Assign the item category for the customs document to this data for the feeder system.
