Use
In this Customizing activity, you activate the legal regulations that you have assigned to the legal codes Customs Processing and Advance Declarations. These two legal codes cover the following application areas:
- Customs declaration for imports and exports
- Internal customs transaction
- Customs delivery
- Advance declaration
- Customs bill of lading
When you activate the legal regulations, you define the countries for which you want to use these legal regulations. You also specify whether the legal regulations are to be valid for import and/or export.
Requirements
If you want to use a legal regulation as a reference, the referenced and referencing legal regulations have to use the same numbering scheme.
Standard settings
If you do not perform this activity, the system automatically adopts the legal regulations ATLAS (ATLAS customs processing system - Germany) and ACE (US Automated Customs Environment) for the Arrival/Import Check and the Dispatch/Export Check for the standard configuration.
The standard settings for legal regulation CLAR(Customs Legislation Amendment and Repeal) only covers the Dispatch/Export Check; the Arrival/Import Check is not active.
Activities
Determine the legal regulation.
Enter the country for which you want to use the legal regulation to import and/or export goods.
If you want to use the simplification of the customs duty rate upload and customs duty rate entry - by only performing the upload or entry once for one jurisdiction, because the customs rates are identical in several countries - you can enter a legal regulation as a reference.
