Use

In this IMG activity, you assign plants at feeder system level. You must assign plants from your feeder system at feeder system level in SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) to facilitate the correct transfer of data. If you have one feeder system or several feeder systems with different organizational structures, then you must complete this activity. If you do not perform this activity, when a document is posted in the feeder system and the system cannot determine a corresponding organizational unit in SAP GTS, then no further processing can be performed on that document.

You have defined legal units in SAP GTS in the IMG activity Define Legal Units.

Standard settings

Activities

Complete the following activities:

  • Automatically Transfer Plant
    We recommend you use this function as an initial step to transfer all your plants from your feeder system to SAP GTS to ensure all your data is transferred correctly. You can test the automatic transfer function by first performing the transfer in Simulation Mode. You need to enter the feeder system and the legal unit to which you want to assign the plants from the feeder system.
    It is important that you check the automatic transfer afterwards to ensure the assignments are those that you want. You can do this in the manual assignment step described below.
    You can completely reassign all the plants from your feeder system by checking the indicator Overwrite Existing Records.
  • Manually Assign Plant
    We recommend you use this funtion to check automatic transfers of plants and to assign new plants manually.
