Use
In this IMG activity, you define your foreign trade organizations as the highest organizational unit in your organizational structure. Once you have defined these and assigned data to them, you perform the IMG activity Define Legal Units at a later stage.
Foreign trade organizations are the counter part to company codes in your SAP feeder system, such as mySAP Enterprise Resource Planning (mySAP ERP). The outline levels outside of the foreign trade organization are legal units, which correspond to plants or plant/storage location combinations in a mySAP ERP system. If you do not define the organizational structure, you cannot transfer any master data from your feeder system.
Requirements
You have assigned external numbers to the business partners you defined in the IMG activity Define Number Ranges for Business Partners.
Standard settings
Activities
Create the foreign trade organizations by choosing the Organization button and selecting the role Foreign Trade Org.
