Use
In this IMG activity, you define the number range for the customs product master. You use the product numbers from the feeder system exclusively to identify products in the application - in selection parameters and overview lists, for example - to simplify communication with users of the logistics processes in the feeder system. Accordingly, the numbers in this number range for customs products are only for technical system identification. You must therefore make sure to define this number range as an internal number range.
If you want to transfer products from SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI), note the following:
If you want to connect several SAP GTS systems or several clients of an SAP GTS system to only one SAP NetWeaver BI system, you have to choose different number ranges for the customs product masters in each SAP GTS system or client. This will ensure that the system can identify each product uniquely and that none of the product data in one system can be overwritten by data in a second system, because each system has its own range of product identification numbers.
