Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the number ranges for the individual application areas. You have to create number ranges for documents such as the customs document for Compliance Management and the customs declaration for Customs Management. The number ranges for the documents are valid client-wide and are year-dependent.
In a subsequent step, you assign the defined number ranges to the document types in the Customizing activities, in which you define the specific document types for the individual areas. You can define different number ranges for the different document types, for example, if you want to be able to tell the type of document instantly based on its number.

Activities
Create number ranges for the necessary document types.
If you want to use the standard settings for the processes, you have to use the following number range numbers for the respective number range intervals of the document types:
If you use Compliance Management, the system replicates logistics documents as customs documents in the system for Global Trade Services. The appropriate number ranges must exist for the document types of the following replicates:
01 (customs documents from sales documents)
02 (customs documents from outbound deliveries)
05 (customs documents from purchasing documents)
If you use Customs Management, you have to define the appropriate number ranges for the following document types:
11 (customs shipment to discharge the transit procedure)
12 (customs shipment to open the transit procedure)
13 (customs declaration for imports)
14 (customs declaration for exports)
15 (administrative documents for excise duty monitoring)
65 (document type for customs duty corrections)
66 (advance documents for customs declaration before goods receipt)
You have to define a separate number range for each year. Therefore, we recommend defining the number ranges for the next ten years now, to ensure that you still have valid number ranges in the new year.
