Use
In this IMG activity, you create the text comparison for the classification help function, which you use to classify your products for import and export purposes. The product classification help enables you to classify goods of any nature correctly. By comparing characteristic search terms with the texts in product descriptions, the system assigns specific customs code to specific products. These customs code numbers can include the following:
Import code numbers
Export control classification numbers (ECCNs)
Tariff code numbers (HTS codes)
Commodity codes
Common agricultural policy (CAP) numbers

Activities
You define control procedures for text comparisons. To do this, you create a control procedure name and description. Then you must select the language that the system should compare in the classification help function. (The text comparison function in the classification help is language-dependent.) If you want the system to include phonetic search strings in the text comparison, you can set the indicator for the Phonetic Search Option.
