Use
In this Customizing activity, you define a text comparison procedure that is used when the system compares addresses for license types. The address comparison function lets you check whether license types are still valid after a business partner address is changed. The system determines the validity of the license type by comparing the address of a business partner with the address that is defined for that partner in an import or export license type. If you change central elements of the business partner's address in the application, such as the company name or street, the system sets the license to invalid.
When you compare the addresses for license types, you can determine which address elements the system checks. When you assign address fields to the text comparison procedure, you define that the system performs the address comparison check whenever changes are made to the assigned fields in the business partner address.
Requirements
You have completed the Customizing activity Define Text Determination Procedures for License Types.

Activities
Enter a description for the text comparison procedure, such as Control Procedure for Comparing Addresses of License Types.
Select the text comparison procedure in the table and use the input help to assign the texts (text IDs).
