Use
In this IMG activity, you define customs document item categories. You can create as many customs document item categories as you require for replication from the feeder system(s). Every item category is an indicator that defines the characteristics of a customs document item and the control functions for the customs documents, thereby fulfilling the requirements of various business transactions. The item categories also let you control depreciation of the licenses in legal control, either at the item category level in general or for a combination of item category and legal regulation. Example: The item category controls whether the customs document items are standard or text items.
You can also configure the system to check the license validity for each combination of item category and legal regulation.
Requirements
You have completed the IMG activity Define Item Categories.
Standard settings
The following customs document item categories are part of the standard delivery:
EXDLV1 - Export Customs Document Item: Outbound Delivery Document Item Category Level
- EXINV1 - Export Customs Document Item: Billing Document Item Category Level
- EXORD1 - Export Customs Document Item: Sales Document Item Category Level
- IMORD1 - Import Customs Document Item: Purchase Order Document Item Category Level
Activities
Enter a name and a description for the customs document item. We recommend that you refer to the feeder system document and the document type in SAP GRC Global Trade Services in your description.
When you create new item categories, you have to enter the following information for each item category:
- Value depreciation:
- + Allocation: Add to license
- - Allocation: Deduct from license
- 0 Allocation: Do not add to or deduct from license
- Quantity depreciation:
- + Allocation: Add to license
- - Allocation: Deduct from license
- 0 Allocation: Do not add to or deduct from license
- Depreciation group:
- Purchase order document
- Sales document
- Outbound delivery document
- Billing document
For the "Legal Control" service, you have to decide whether you set the Adopt Control Data from Preceding Item indicator. The groups determine how values and quantities are depreciated from their licenses. For more information, see the field help.
You need the following additional item categories for the Sanctioned Party List Screening service:
- CLPOS - Customs document item
- EXINV1 - Export Customs Document Item: Billing Document Item Category Level
Example
If you have sales document item categories, you can use the name EXORD1 to indicate that the category is a sales order item in an export document and enter a description, such as Customs Document Item (Export) - Delivery Document Item Category Level.
