Use
In this IMG activity, you determine technical names, meaningful descriptions, and validation parameters for fields in which you want to store additional product characteristics of the feeder system in SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS). On the basis of this information, you can use additional product information from your feeder system in SAP GTS display and selection screens in generic fields available in SAP GTS.

Activities
Enter a technical for the field in which the system stores product characteristics.
Define a description, which the system displays on the selection screens for the field.
Choose validation parameters that the system is to execute when transferring the product characteristics from the feeder system. You can select the following options:
- Existence check (against value table)
The system checks the transferred values to determine whether they match entries in the value tables for product characteristics.
- Existence check and automatic supplementation (value tables)
The system adds the entries to the value tables for product characteristics.
- No existence check (against value table)
The system does not check the entries in value tables and does not write any new values to the value tables.
