Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used to edit notifications in the Customs Management area of Global Trade Services (GTS).
This BAdI enables you to change the text and the subject line of the e-mail contained in the standard shipment of the GTS system. You can also change the recipients of the e-mail, as alternatives to the value that the system determines from the processor for the documents. The BAdI also enables you to add attachments to the notification e-mail. You can add custom attachments or attach inbound messages received from the customs authorities, such as an export accompanying document or export confirmation. You can use the BAdI to edit notifications for documents in the following application areas:
- Customs declaration
- Presentation
- Customs shipment
- Advance declaration
- Excise duty monitoring
You can use the provided sample coding as a basis for using the BAdI.
Requirements
If you want to use e-mail notification to send export accompanying documents and export confirmations, you have to configure the following settings in Customizing for the GTS system, which affect PPF actions:
- Configure PPF actions for notification
You can define processing type Method Call to assign the relevant filters in the PPF actions:
- Filter settings to determine the export accompanying document from the inbound message and then create the e-mail notification with the EAD in the attachment
- Filter settings for notification upon receipt of an export confirmation from the customs authorities through the requested communication medium
- Filter settings to generate customer-specific e-mail requirements
- Schedule conditions for the automated processing of the PPF action
You can configure the condition such that the system starts the subsequent PPF action when the official message is received. This subsequent PPF action can include notification of the receipt through the requested communication medium.
- Define the e-mail as the message for the communications process
- Integrate the PPF action for e-mail notification in the communication process
