Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI), which determines declaration-relevant document items in change messages, is used in the Customs Management area of Global Trade Services (GTS).
This BAdI lets you integrate change messages in the communication process for documents in the following application areas, without modifying the system:
- Presentation
- Advance declaration
- Customs shipment
- Customs declaration
- Administrative document
This enables you to select document items that you have changed, deleted, or added, to send them to the customs authorities in a change message.
You can use change messages in countries, such as New Zealand, that allow subsequent correction of existing customs declarations through the use of change messages. This lets you avoid the two-step process of canceling a logistic process in the feeder system, with cancellation of the corresponding customs declaration and subsequent creation of a new declaration with the changed data.
Change messages let you communicate relevant document changes that are made after the initial declaration to the customs authorities, using the message flow. You configure the recognition and selection of the relevant document items completely in this BAdI.
Note
You can also use the BAdIs for extensible structures. These BAdIs are: BAdI for UI Control When Connecting External Applications to CD/CS and BAdI for Saving Data from External Applications in Customer Tables. These BAdIs let you determine which items are changed, deleted, or added while you edit the documents. You can then analyze this information to determine the items that you need to send in a change message and use it as the foundation for compiling these items in the change messages.
You can also use this BAdI, for example, to send general changes or additional information for a document to a carrier or other involved party by fax or e-mail.
Requirements
Standard settings
- In the standard system, there is no activated BAdI implementation.
- The BAdI is intended for multiple use. All activated implementations are called and executed.
- The BAdI is filter independent.
Activities
For information about implementing BAdIs as part of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
