Use

In this Customizing activity you configure and maintain risk probability levels for Process Control and Risk Management. A probability level corresponds to a defined probability value used by the system to evaluate a risk.

You can also map frequency values to the probability levels.

Alternatively, you can use this activity to define probabilities for opportunities.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

To define probability levels, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on New Entries and enter a numeric value in the Prob Level column designating the probability level.
  2. Enter a probability score as a numeric value corresponding to a particular probability level.
    Note: This score represents the middle of the interval.
  3. Enter a frequency value in the Frequency column that represents the highest frequency to be mapped to the probability level.
  4. Enter a description for the probability level in the Probability column.
  5. Enter a probability text and a probability reduction text in the Reduction/Enhancement Level column. The reduction options are displayed in the response screen of a risk.
  6. If you are defining opportunity benefits, you enter the probability enhancement text in this column instead.
  7. Save your entry.

The following settings correspond to realistic probability level descriptions:
