Use
In this Customizing activity you configure the settings for a three-point analysis. The "three points" to be defined and then analyzed are the minimum loss, the average loss, and the maximum loss, which you define in percentage format.
The resulting value calculated by the system is the total loss.
Three-point analysis is an important technique to be used when there is a high degree of uncertainty regarding the estimation of the loss value, and yet it is still desirable to quantify the risk, rather than to revert to a qualitative risk analysis, since in this way you have a more accurate estimation of the risk.

Activities
- Using button New Entries, enter the date at which the three-point analysis is to be carried out.
- Next, enter the percentage values of the minimum, average and maximum loss to be used in the analysis.
- Set the Active button for your entry. This means that this entry is the one to be used in the application for Risk Management processing.
- Save your entry.
Example
You have defined the following loss percentages: 25% (minimum), 50% (average), and 25% (maximum).
In this case, the total loss would be 25% of the minimum loss, 50% of the average loss, and 25% of the maximum loss.
Therefore, if the minimum loss is 10,000 EUR, the average loss is 15,000 EUR, and the maximum loss is 20,000 EUR, the total loss will be calculated according to the following formula:
(0.25 x 10,000/100) + (0.50 x 15,000/100) + (0.25 x 20,000/100) =
(2,500) + (7,500) + (5,000) = 15,000 EUR total loss.
