Use

In this Customizing activity, you define a number range for N.N. resource numbers. The system uses this number range to provide a unique number for each N.N. resource that is created in SAP Multiresource Scheduling.

Note:
You can also maintain the number range using transaction SNRO. If you want to use this transaction, make sure to specify the number range as /MRSS/NNRS.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

Proceed as follows:

  • Choose Change intervals.
  • Enter the number range number as 01 and specify the number range. Make sure the Ext. checkbox is deselected.

The current number tells you how many N.N. resource numbers have already been created in this number range.

    Note:
Make sure to enter 8-digit numbers. Also make sure that the number range used for N.N. resources does not overlap with the number ranges used for human resource numbers and business partner numbers.

You can check the number ranges for these resource types in the following Customizing activities (transaction SPRO):

    • In Customizing for Personnel Management under Personnnel Administration --> Basic Settings --> Maintain number range intervals for personnel numbers
    • In Customizing for Cross-Application Components under SAP Business Partner --> Business Partner --> Basic Settings --> Number Ranges and Groupings --> Define Number Ranges.

Example

The number range for human resources is defined as follows:

No.    From number    To number    Current number    Ext.

01    00000001    90000000

You define the number range for N.N. resources as follows:

No.    From number    To number    Current number    Ext.

01    90000000    99999999
