Use

You must map users in the SAP system to their corresponding names in the groupware environment. This can be done in two ways:

  • Use a CSV file that contains details of users in the SAP system and consumer system.
  • Connect SAP NetWeaver Gateway to the LDAP server to retrieve details of users in the consumer system.

This activity allows you to connect to the LDAP server. You must first create and LDAP connector and then configure the LDAP server.

After this configuration is complete, you must ensure that this user mapping option is specified in Customizing activity Select User Mapping Type.

Requirements

Create RFC destination for LDAP connector

  1. Go to transaction SM59 and click Create.
  2. In the RFC Destination field, enter a name for the RFC destination. In the Connection Type field, select T (Start External Program Using TCP/IP).
  3. In the Technical Settings tab, in the Activation Type section, select the Registered Server Program option.
  4. In the Program ID field, enter a program ID.
  5. In the Gateway Options section, enter the gateway host and gateway service name
  6. Save your settings.
