Use

In order to provide the users acting in the SAP NetWeaver Gateway environment with the appropriate authorizations, corresponding roles have to be configured and assigned to these users.

Requirements

In order to be able to create roles and users and to assign roles to users certain administrator authorizations are required.

Once the above is fulfilled the configuration can be started.

Standard settings

Activities

Create the role:

  1. Start the activity and create a new role.
  2. In the new role the required GW specific authorization objects can be included.
    • Open the role in the transaction PFCG and select the tab Authorizations.
    • Choose Change Authorization Data on this tab.
  3. A pop-up with existing template roles appears.
    • Select the template role /IWFND/RT_DEVELOPER and choose Adopt reference.
  4. Modify the profile text which will be generated for your role.
  5. Choose Generate.

Assign the role to the respective users

  1. Change to the tab Users in your new role.
  2. Enter the names of the users the new role should be assigned to.
  3. Save the role.
