Use

This activity allows you to create a background job that will clean up the cache and persistency frameworks in SAP NetWeaver Gateway periodically. To perform this cleanup process, the report /IWFND/R_SM_CLEANUP is run.

Standard settings

Activities

Before creating a scheduled job, you create a variant for this report.

To create a report variant:

  1. Click on the Clean Up Cache and Persistency activity and enter the parameters of the report.

    For more information see /IWFND/R_SM_CLEANUP.

  2. Choose Goto -> Variants -> Save as Variant and enter a descriptive name for the Variant Name.
  3. Save your new report variant.

To create a job:

  1. Click on the Create cleanup jobs activity.
  2. In the Job name field, enter a name for the cleanup job.
  3. Choose Step to define the steps for this job. The Create Step 1 dialog box is displayed.
  4. In the ABAP program section, enter /IWFND/R_SM_CLEANUP in the Name field.
  5. In the Variant field, select the report variant via the F4 help.
  6. Save your settings.

    The Step List Overview screen is displayed.

  7. Choose Back to return to the main page.
  8. Choose Start condition and specify the schedule for this job.
  9. Choose Save to save the schedule.
  10. In the main page, choose Save to save this new job.

The cleanup process will now run automatically according to the schedule you have defined.
