Use
In this IMG activity, you assign the RBD flow types to target flow types, resulting from the requirements of the totals-based approach.
With this approach, it must be possible to compare the existing value adjustment positions with the positions from the Position Management source systems. The resulting deltas require an increase or reduction of the value adjustment (position generation: VA increasing or VA decreasing).
The effects on the RBD positions (delta) are handled in the following Customizing tables:
- /IBS/CRB_BALANCE - Define RBD Balancing Rules
- /IBS/CRB_RANKTYP - Define Ranking Order of RBD Flow Types for Planned Record Processing
- /IBS/CRB_PRIOTYP - Define Priority of RBD Flow Types
- /IBS/CRB_ARBBEST -Define Assignment of Conditions for Planned Record Creation
For individual business transactions in an item-based source system, for example, direct write-off (SAP Loans Management), an adjustment flow type must be defined to ensure that the positions in the source system and RBD component can be compared.
Note:
If the manual flow types (General Settings for the RBD Tool - /IBS/RB_GLOBAL) are also included in the values managed, these must also be assigned to automatic flow types so that the value adjustment positions can also be compared here.
Comment:
For the flow type definition in sample Customizing, all write-off flows from the Position Management systems are classified as a direct write-off by the RBD component. The usage flows are assigned by the Customizing settings mentioned above.

Example
The "Reversal Usage IVA Interest" (0221) is assigned the "Direct Write-Off Interest" (0301) as a target flow type. This reduces the value adjustment of the direct write-off position. This assignment is required to ensure that the write-off positions in the RBD component can be compared with the write-offs in the Position Management systems.
With the "Direct Write-Off Interest" (0301), an "Appropriation IVA Interest Current Year" (0100) is also "virtually" added to the RBD position (VA increasing), because a debit position from the Position Management system is not to be included by the processing logic in the RBD component but must be created for the position so that the positions in the source system and RBD can be compared. These adjustment flows are necessary only for the flow type groups Interest and Charges from SAP Loans Management. This means that they are not required for balance-based supply systems.
Flow Type Target Flow Type Position Generation VA Adj. Flow Position Gen.
0221 0301 VA Decreasing
0301 0101 VA Increasing
