Use
In this IMG activity, you define the exceptions for modeling the countries of origin during the transfer of data from the worklist to an Intrastat declaration. Under the default settings, the system selects the internal code for the country of origin, which is defined in the worklist based on document data. The system then determines the ISO code for this country of origin and copies it to the Intrastat code as the country of origin in the Intrastat declaration. If exceptions to this standard logic are required to process the Intrastat declarations, you have to define these exceptions in this IMG activity.
Exceptions to the standard logic are required, for instance, in the following cases:
- Monaco is a sovereign nation, however, for the purposes of intra-European goods movements for the Intrastat declaration, it belongs to France. The system would consider Monaco to be independent under the default settings. In this IMG activity, however, you have to assign Monaco to France, so the system derives the Intrastat code for France when Monaco is the country of origin.
Requirements
Standard settings
The default settings already contain the relevant exceptions for modeling the country of origin.
Activities
You can define these exceptions for each country of declaration for countries of origin or regions of the countries of origin.
Example
SAP systems contain Monaco as an independent country, with country code MC. You have to specify France as the country of origin, however, in Intrastat declarations for goods shipments from this country. To assign Monaco the Intrastat code for partner country France for the Intrastat declaration, you have to specify the following values for each required country of declaration:
- Country of declaration (for example): DE (Germany)
- Partner country (internal SAP): MC (Monaco)
- Region: -
- Partner country (Intrastat): FR (France)
You do not have to enter any regions to model the exceptions because Monaco is not divided into regions.
