Use
In this IMG activity you specify, by device controller and message type, how you want SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) to process messages -- in parallel or one by one (serial mode).
By default, SAP AII processes all messages in parallel. That is, if a device sends 10 messages to a device controller, SAP AII will start 10 parallel tasks to process them. Processing issues can arise if all 10 messages update the same document; the system is forced to change the processing to serial (sequential) mode, yet it still has 10 open tasks. In this case, it would be more efficient if SAP AII processed the 10 messages in serial mode by default.
This IMG activity gives you the option to change the default message processing by device controller/message type to serial mode, so the messages for this device controller/message type will process one by one.
