Use
You can use this IMG activity if you need to define your own conditions for rules to be carried out when SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) processes mobile device messages
Rule Determination for Mobile Messages
The SAP AII rule processor runs the mobile message through the determination conditions and chooses the correct rule based on the business process and the document type that is being processed.
Requirements
Rules must already be defined in Customizing.
Standard settings
We deliver standard conditions for mobile messages. The system uses these conditions unless you override them with ones that your company has defined.
Choose REFERENCE ONLY: Delivered Conditions - Mobile Device Messages to display the SAP-delivered conditions.
Activities
To define your own conditions and override the delivered conditions, do the following:
- Choose Define Conditions - Mobile Device Messages.
- On the screen Change View " Mobile Message Condition": Overview, choose New Entries.
- Create a condition that has the same key as the delivered condition that you want to override. This tells the system to use your condition instead of the delivered one.
- Enter a business process, command, and , document type for your condition.
- Specify the Processing Sequence for your rule.
- Choose a rule to be carried out if the rule processor evaluates the condition as true.
- Select the Exit indicator to stop rule processing after this rule is carried out.
- Enter a Description for your condition.
- Choose Save.
Example
One reason for overriding delivered conditions is to process other standard or customer-defined rules.
For example, you might want to use your own rule ZLOADU, instead of the delivered LOADU_AA. The delivered condition for LOADU_AA is as follows (see REFERENCE ONLY: Delivered Conditions - Mobile Device Messages):
Fields Value
BUS_PROC 04
DOC_TYPE 01
COMMAND Undo
DEVGRP_ID *
RULE_SEQUENCE 10
RULE_ID LOADU_AA
EXIT_FLAG blank
DESCRIPTION Load Undo - Outbound
To use ZLOADU instead of LOADU, insert the following entries in Define Conditions - Mobile Device Messages:
Fields New Value
BUS_PROC 04
DOC_TYPE 01
COMMAND Undo
DEVGRP_ID *
RULE_SEQUENCE 10
RULE_ID ZLOADU
EXIT_FLAG blank
DESCRIPTION Load Undo - Outbound
The system processes ZLOADU instead of LOADU_AA since the key fields BUS_PROC, DOC_TYPE, COMMAND, DEVGRP_ID, and RULE_SEQUENCE for rule ZLOADU have the same values as for LOADU_AA.
