Use
You can use this IMG activity if you need to define your own conditions for rules to be carried out when SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) processes messages for SAP Mobile Infrastructure Web Console based devices and exception handling UI messages.
Rule Determination
To determine rules for SAP Mobile Infrastructure Web Console messages, the rule processor runs the message through the determination conditions and chooses the appropriate rule based on the business process, action type, and command.
Requirements
Rules must already be defined in Customizing.
Standard settings
We deliver standard conditions for SAP Mobile Infrastructure Web Console based and exception handling UI messages. The system uses these conditions unless you override them with your own.
To display the SAP delivered conditions choose REFERENCE ONLY: SAP Delivd. Conditions for SAPWebConsole / Except. Hand. UI.
Activities
To define your own conditions and override the delivered conditions, do the following:
- In Customizing, go to Define Conditions for SAP Web Console / Exception Handling U
- In the Overview screen choose New Entries.
- Create a condition that has the same key as the delivered condition that you want to override.
- This tells the system to use your condition instead of the delivered one.
- Enter a business process, action type, and command for your condition.
- Specify the Processing Sequence for your rule.
- Choose a rule to be carried out if the rule processor evaluates the condition as true.
- Select the Exit indicator to stop rule processing after this rule is carried out.
- Enter a Description for your condition.
Example
One reason for overriding delivered conditions is to process other standard or customer-defined rules.
For example, you might want to use your own rule ZLOADU, instead of the delivered LOADU_AA. The delivered conditions for LOADU_AA and UNLOAD_AA are as follows (see REFERENCE ONLY: SAP Delivered Conditions for SAP Web Console and Desktop UI Messages):
Fields Value Value
BUS_PROC 01 01
ACTION_TYPE ALBO AUBO
COMMAND Do Do
RULE_SEQUENCE 10 10
RULE_ID LOADU_AA UNLOAD_AA
EXIT_FLAG blank blank
DESCRIPTION Unload - Outbound Unload - Inbound
To use ZLOADU instead of LOADU_AA, insert the following entries in Define Conditions for SAP Web Console / Exception Handling UI
Fields New Value
BUS_PROC 01
ACTION_TYPE ALBO
COMMAND Do
RULE_SEQUENCE 10
RULE_ID ZLOADU
EXIT_FLAG blank
DESCRIPTION Unload - Outbound
The system processes ZLOADU instead of LOADU_AA because the key fields BUS_PROC, ACTION_TYPE, COMMAND, and RULE_SEQUENCE for rule ZLOADU have the same values as for LOADU_AA.
The system carries out the standard UNLOAD_AA rule since you have not overridden it by creating your own condition with the same key.
