Use

You use this IMG activity to define your own conditions for rules to be carried out when SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) processes backend messages.

Rule Determination for Backend Messages

The rule processor runs the backend message through the determination conditions . Based on the backend message type and the action type that is assigned to the document, the rule processor chooses the most appropriate rule .

Requirements

Rules must have already been defined in Rule customizing.

Standard settings

We deliver standard conditions for backend messages. The system uses these conditions unless you override them with ones that your company has defined.

To display the SAP- delivered conditions, choose

REFERENCE ONLY: SAP Delivered Conditions for Backend Messages .

Activities

To define your own conditions for backend messages:

  1. In the screen Choose View "Backend Message Condition": Overview, choose New Entries.
  2. Enter the appropriate information in MsgType (message type) and AcTy (action type) to build your own condition.
  3. In Proc. Seq., enter the processing sequence for your rule.
  4. Choose a rule that will be carried out if the condition is evaluated as true by the rule processor.
  5. To stop rule processing after this rule is carried out, select Exit Ind.
  6. In Cnd. Description, enter a description for your condition.
