Use

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure component.

You can use this BAdI to provide input help when mapping an ID type to another ID type with the same encoding type. You can create a BAdI implementation for each ID type that you have defined in Customizing to implement corresponding input help.

Requirements

You have defined ID types and encoding types. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) in Customizing for Auto-ID Infrastructure under Basic Settings -> ID Settings -> Maintain ID Types.

Standard settings

  • In the standard system, the sample BAdI implementation /AIN/IDMAPPING_BADIIMP_UI_F4 is activated. The default code is executed automatically.

This sample implementation provides input help for IDs with encoding type 0LOC and ID type ERP. The system calls this BAdI implementation if you use input help when mapping other ID types of the same encoding type to the ID type ERP.

  • This BAdI is designed for multiple use. All active implementations are called and executed.
  • This BAdI is not filter-dependent.

Activities

For information about implementing BAdIs as part of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
