Use
In this IMG activity you assign action types (such as pack and load) and document types (such as Outbound Delivery and Inbound Delivery) to business processes such as Tag Commissioning w/ Mobile Device and Load. You also define one default action type per business process/document type combination.
SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) uses action types to update business transaction documents (such as outbound deliveries) and to create observations. The action type is determined as follows:
For an integrated scenario (with and without flexible integration):
- For documents integrated with flexible integration, the system uses the default action type for the business process/document type combination.
- For documents integrated without using the flexible integration option, the system uses the action type from the document used in the transaction.
- If there is no default action type assigned to the business process/document type combination, the system uses the default action type of the device group role/document type combination (see Customizing Device group roles).
For a standalone scenario:
- The system uses the action type from the document used in the transaction if the following conditions are met:
- The document exists
- The document type and document action type are assigned to the transaction business process
- The document type and document action type are assigned to the device group role of the device group used in the transaction.
- If step one is not true, then the system uses the default action type assigned to the business process/document type combination and updates or creates the document with this action type.
- If you do not specify a document, the system uses the default action type assigned to the business process/blank document type combination.
Requirements
- Action Types must be defined.
- Device group roles must be defined and their action type assignments must be made.
