Use

In this IMG activity, you define product hierarchies.

Activities

Procedure

1.    Execute this activity.

2.    Create hierarchy AIN_BASE and enter AIN base hierarchy as the description.

3.    Choose Environment -> Assign Hierarchies to Applications and do the following:

  • Verify that the Assign Hierarchies to Applications dialog structure is selected. Then choose New Entries and in the Application field, enter Product and in the Hierarchy ID field, enter AIN_BASE.
  • Select the Assgmt per Product Type for Application 'Product' dialog structure. Then choose New Entries and in the Product Type field enter Material and in the Hierarchy ID field enter AIN_BASE.

4.    Save your entries.

5.    Go back to the initial screen, Maintain Categories and Hierarchies.

6.    To create category AIN_MATERIAL in hierarchy AIN_BASE, do the following:

  • Enter AIN Material as the description.
  • On the Category tab, choose Material as the product type.
  • Choose the Set Types tab and add the set types COMM_PR_GTIN, COMM_PR_SHTEXT, and COMM_PR_UNIT. (You need only to enter the set type names; the remaining fields are filled automatically.)

7.    Save your entries.
