Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) influences the ability of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) to determine the ID version of an object.
The system uses the ID version to decode or encode an ID. Normally, you enter the ID in the user interface or specify it in a notification message. However, you do not normally enter the ID version; SAP AII determines it automatically
You implement this BAdI if you want to overwrite the ID version that SAP AII determines. You can override the standard ID version determination if you define your own IDs or if you receive IDs from business partners who use a different version than you do.
Requirements
This BAdI is invoked during the execution of all standard business processes except manual tag commissioning. It is also invoked when the various activities that create and validate IDs are executed.

No standard implementation of this BAdI is delivered.

Example
Your business partner may use IDs that differ from yours. You can specify which ID version to use in a notification message from a device controller, or you may implement this BAdI to make a dynamic determination based on the business partner in the inbound delivery document.
