Use

In this IMG activity, you define a relationship between a business process, a document, and a device.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

You assign an action type (related to documents) and a business role (related to devices) to a business process.

Note: To define a device group role, in the IMG, choose Auto-ID Infrastructure -> Device Settings -> Define Device Group Role.

Example

To configure a business scenario for packing, you would assign the action type for packing (APL2) and the business role of the device group 03 - Pack to the business process Pack.

With this assignment, the system can check that for a certain business process, only the device group with the assigned business role processes documents with the correct action type.
