Diagnosis

In the Consolidation Area you have defined that the appropriation of retained earnings is to be displayed in the balance sheet.

As a result, for all document types of the use

investment income elimination, the item clearing for the consolidation unit must be an item of item type balance sheet and an equity item. The item accounting consolidation unit is entered on the tab page Clearing Items of the document type.

The item you specified in the document type is however not a Capital item.

Assign Capital Item to the document type as Clearing Item for the Consolidation Unit.
