Goodwill global: Start or life of amortization/reduction is missing

Diagnosis
The settings for global goodwill are inconsistent with regards to the treatment of (negative) goodwill. This can have the following causes:
- Ordinary amortization of (negative) goodwill was activated, but the start date and/or the life of amortization is missing.
- Periodic reduction of (negative) goodwill was activiated, but the start date and/or the life of the reduction is missing.

Procedure
Go to Customizing for "Goodwill Global" and specify the start date and the life of the amortization or reduction.
