Diagnosis

The period for membership of the current pay scale group and pay scale level contains a period of unpaid absence.
According to section 17, paragraph 3 of TVoeD, only specific suspensions of a continuous activity are equalized and, therefore, do not extend the validity period of the level.

System Response

The validity period of the level is not extended automatically.

Procedure

Check whether the absence is a suspension that causes the validity period of the level to be extended.

The validity period of the level must be extended manually by means of the Next increase field in the "Basic Pay" infotype (0008).
